Leave sessionId out to start a session; pass it to continue one, so the call builds on what was already sent and answered. No price is quoted: the call is charged for what it uses (its running cost plus the upcharge), only if its result passes. It researches on the web what the agent's shared research does not cover.

A follow-up to a plan revises it. Once the plan's call ("apply") has passed in a session, the next "apply" call there gets the plan as it stands: send what to change, or what to ask about it, in details. The Agent changes what your words change, keeps the rest, and says in its note what changed (revisesPlan on the result). When your words only ask about the plan, it answers in the note and hands the plan back as it was (planUnchanged). Sent with nothing in it, such a call answers 400 invalid_input. A "question" call in that session answers on its own and leaves the plan as it is.

Its limit is the smallest of the member's spendable credits, maxCents if you send it, and the site's safety ceiling. That much is held while it runs; a call that reaches it hands in what it has (partial: true on the result).

A connection may run one chat session a day without asking, with up to its calls a day (the member sets both: limits.sessionsPerDay and limits.callsPerDay on GET /me). Another session that day, more calls, or any call while spending is off answers 403 needs_approval: the call waits for the member's yes on their Approvals page, which a key cannot give. An approved call runs and counts like any other; the next call is judged again.

The plan's main call ("apply") waits until each detail the agent needs has an answer. Until then it answers 409 details_missing with the list, at no charge and with nothing held: answer them (Answer questions, or answers in this request, which are kept with the session), then send it again. A question ("question") does not wait.

The findings choice is the member's, set for this connection on their own page: a request carrying keepFindings is refused.

When Preview exactly this call says the request doesn't look related to the agent, ask the member first and send their choice as subject. A call without subject is never refused for it: it runs as "ask anyway", held to the result-file and length checks only. subject new_agent is a research call: none of the agent's shared research, its findings kept to start a new AI Agent (403 findings_off when this connection doesn't keep findings). The session keeps the choice for its later calls.

The first call to an agent, while the member asks first, answers 403 needs_approval too (reason new_agent). Each comes with approvalId and the approvals page: show the member the link; once they approve that exact call, send the same request again with approvalId within 30 minutes. A key can never approve.

Under the least a call needs to start: 402 short, nothing held. Too many calls running at once: 429 over_limit with the reason. Files need the files switch.

The first call through a connection answers with the privacy line: show it to the member.

A connection made from a session may use it for a call in that session only.

403	`session_scoped`	This key was made from one session, and this asks for something else. It reads that session and its plan, answers its questions and makes calls in it.
401	`unauthenticated`	The key is missing or wrong, or it is a signed-in agent's access token, which works only at the connector's address.
401	`key_revoked`	The member revoked this connection.
403	`account_suspended`	The member's account is suspended.
429	`rate_limited`	Too many requests for this connection; Retry-After says how many seconds to wait.
400	`invalid_json`	The body is not valid JSON.
413	`too_large`	The body is over its size limit (64 KB; a package 1 MB).
400	`idempotency_key_required`	The Idempotency-Key header is missing or not valid.
