Terms of service

GoGoPortal is a small suite of business tools (Studio, Garage, Restaurant, Store, and Landlord) — along with any future GoGoPortal applications we add to the suite. You can use them for your own business under these terms. We try to keep this document short and direct. Anything not covered here defaults to common-sense behavior — “don’t abuse the service,” “your data is yours,” etc.

This isn’t a substitute for legal advice. If you have a specific legal question about how these terms apply to you, talk to a lawyer.

• You can create one account, tied to one email. We use Google sign-in for most accounts; the password (if any) is stored hashed.
• You’re responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials safe. If your account is used by someone you didn’t authorize, contact us.
• You can delete your account any time. We’ll erase your personal data within 30 days unless we’re legally required to retain it (e.g. tax records on subscription payments).

A free tier gets you started on every tool, with usage caps on the free plan (things like the number of products, appointments, or how much storage you use). GoGoPortal Pro at $19/month lifts those caps across every tool in the suite. You can cancel any time; you keep Pro through the end of the period you paid for.

We don’t do free trials right now; the free tier itself is the trial.

Anything you put into GoGoPortal — customers, products, contracts, menus, photos, work orders — belongs to you. You can export, edit, or delete it. We don’t sell it. We don’t use it to train AI models (we don’t train any models). We use your data only to provide the service to you.

We may share data with the third parties strictly necessary to operate the service: payment processors (Stripe, Square), email delivery (transactional only), and the AI provider that answers your assistant messages when you use it — Google, which powers the hosted assistant (see §6).

You agree not to use GoGoPortal for things that would obviously get a small business in trouble:

• Anything illegal where you live or operate.
• Storing or moving content that’s explicitly disallowed — CSAM, terrorism content, malware, mass spam, etc.
• Reselling the service as your own (use our APIs to build for yourself, not as a passthrough product).
• Trying to access another user’s data, or attempting to break the security of the service. (If you find a bug, pleasetell us — we’ll thank you.)

If a tool lets you publish a public page (a storefront, a booking page, a menu), that page is also subject to the rules above — plus the obvious commerce ones: no counterfeit, stolen, or IP-infringing goods; no weapons, controlled substances, or anything your payment processor prohibits; no adult content or hate speech.

Anyone can flag a public page with the “Report this …” link it carries. We review reports and may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules — sometimes without notice where the violation is serious. Violations generally get the account suspended or terminated.

The optional AI assistant is hosted: we cover the model cost on our own Google Gemini key, free to you up to a daily message cap (more generous on Pro). There’s nothing to set up and no key to bring. Read this section if you use it.

• Hosted, on us.No setup and no key required — we pay for the model. It’s free up to a daily message cap, which is higher on Pro; once you hit the cap for the day the assistant pauses until it resets. Your messages and the data it needs to answer are sent to Google to be processed.
• What goes to the AI provider.When you ask the AI a question, we send your message + the relevant tool-result data to Google so it can answer. Google’s privacy policy applies to whatever it sees — please read theirs. We don’t pass it to any other AI provider.
• What the AI can and can’t do. The AI can read data you can already see, take you to pages on request, and propose changes (add a customer, create a work order, etc.). It cannot write changes without your tap-to-confirm, cannot delete records, cannot send emails or charge cards, and cannot reach the public internet on your behalf. Every action is recorded in your activity log.
• No warranty on AI output.The AI’s answers and proposed changes are best-effort guesses, not authoritative. You’re responsible for reviewing them before tapping confirm. If the AI proposes the wrong customer or the wrong price, that’s on you to catch.
• Feedback collection.When you tell the AI something about the product (a wish, a complaint, a bug), it files that for the team to read so we can fix or build things. The verbatim quote is stored along with your email. Don’t put anything into chat you wouldn’t want a human at GoGoPortal to read.

Some apps let you take payments from your customers or tenants (Store via Stripe or Square; Restaurant via Square; Studio deposits and Landlord rent via Stripe; and so on). In those flows you are the merchant of record — money goes directly from your customer to your connected processor account, never through us. Disputes, refunds, and tax handling are between you, your customer, and your processor.

You can stop using GoGoPortal any time and delete your account from /account. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, threaten the security of the service, or fail to pay for an active Pro subscription after a reasonable notice period. We’ll always give you a path to export your data before we delete anything we don’t legally have to keep.

GoGoPortal is provided “as is.” We do our best to keep it running, but we don’t guarantee uptime, completeness, or fitness for any specific purpose. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any single claim related to your use of the service is capped at what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (free-tier users: no monetary liability).

We may update this document. Material changes get an email to your account address with at least 14 days’ notice before they take effect, so you can decide whether to keep using the service.
