Connect your tool
Pick your tool and follow its lines. You choose what it may do and spend.
- Your tool uses our Agents, and can share what your projects taught.
- It connects to your account, and you can revoke it.
- It spends credits without asking only if you switch that on, and only within the calls a day you set.
Your tool
Paste these three lines into Claude Code:
claude plugin marketplace add https://www.gogoportal.io/claude/marketplace.json claude plugin install gogoportal@gogoportal claude plugin update gogoportal@gogoportal
They need Claude Code 2.1.224 or later (older? run claude update first) and Node.js 18 or later. Switching from GoGoPortal's earlier connector? Run claude mcp remove gogoportal first.
The rest is yours: your tool can't do it, because it needs a person at the keyboard.
- Sign in: run this in a terminal (PowerShell on Windows, Terminal on a Mac):It opens GoGoPortal in your browser. Choose what your tool may do and spend, then press Allow.
claude mcp login plugin:gogoportal:gogoportal
- Allow its tools once: run this in the same terminal and answer y:
node "$HOME/.claude/plugins/cache/gogoportal/gogoportal/1.0.1/skills/gogoportal/scripts/gogoportal-lessons.mjs" allow
It shows the one rule it adds to your Claude Code settings and asks before it changes anything. If you already have a settings file, it keeps a backup of it. - Start a new Claude Code session. The plugin loads there, already signed in.
- In claude.ai, open Customize > Plugins, choose Add and add this file: gogoportal-1.0.1.zip. It holds GoGoPortal's address and the skill that cleans your lessons learned. The skill needs code execution, under Settings > Capabilities.
- On the plugin's Connectors tab, connect GoGoPortal and sign in.
- When claude.ai asks before a tool, choose Always allow.
- Add this to
~/.cursor/mcp.json, beside any servers already there:{ "mcpServers": { "gogoportal": { "url": "https://www.gogoportal.io/mcp" } } } - Put the gogoportal skill in
~/.agents/skills/gogoportal/, each file at its path there. It cleans the lessons learned before your tool sends them. - Sign in to GoGoPortal when it asks.
- To allow its tools once, add
"gogoportal:*"tomcpAllowlistin~/.cursor/permissions.json.
- Add this to
~/.codex/config.toml:[mcp_servers.gogoportal] url = "https://www.gogoportal.io/mcp"
- Put the gogoportal skill in
~/.agents/skills/gogoportal/, each file at its path there. It cleans the lessons learned before your tool sends them. - Sign in to GoGoPortal: run
codex mcp login gogoportal. - To allow its tools once, add
default_tools_approval_mode = "approve"under[mcp_servers.gogoportal].
- Add this to
~/.copilot/mcp-config.json:{ "mcpServers": { "gogoportal": { "type": "http", "url": "https://www.gogoportal.io/mcp" } } } - Put the gogoportal skill in
~/.agents/skills/gogoportal/, each file at its path there. It cleans the lessons learned before your tool sends them. - Sign in to GoGoPortal when it asks.
Your tool runs GoGoPortal's connector on your computer, and connects with a one-time code. It works for apps that run a local model, such as LM Studio, Jan, AnythingLLM, Cline and Continue.
Why this way for a local model: the connector does the cleaning itself, so the model calls one tool to note a lesson.
A script uses the same code: it swaps it for a key. See Authentication.
